Our history
We are specialists in the insurance industry in the Latin American and Caribbean markets and have a long history. Our founder and CEO, Michael Carricarte, and his family have been dedicated to creating value in the industry for over 30 years:
Michael and his family create Amedex and become the first to offer international major medical insurance in Latin America.
Bupa acquires Amedex, which, along with its medical network, USA Medical Services, served over 1 million clients in 42 countries in the region.
Michael C. is appointed President of the International Division of Private Client Major Medical Insurance at Pan-American Life Insurance. Under his leadership, they become the first to register and offer international medical insurance in 12 countries.
First to launch a 100% digital term life insurance with simplified evaluation in Latin America.

We have been registered in the United States since 2019 (Jurisdiction: Puerto Rico) and are legally authorized as an international insurer (Class 5 license), which allows us to sell to residents of LATAM and the Caribbean, complying with the standards and practices of insurers in the United States and our regulator, which belongs to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).

Olé Insurance Group Corp I.I. holds a strong credit rating assigned by AM Best, one of the leading credit rating agencies in the global insurance industry.
AM Best has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of B++ (Good) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “bbb” (Good) of Olé Insurance Group Corp I.I. (Olé Insurance) (San Juan, Puerto Rico). The outlook of these Credit Ratings (ratings) is stable.
